Cameras
Many of these photographs in 35 mm were taken with Leica and Nikon cameras and original lenses.
In medium format there was only one decision from the very beginning:
Hasselblad and Zeiss lenses.
Most fascinating are the interchangeable film-magazines.
Darkroom
For contrast control films are exposed and developed according to Ansel AdamsīZone system.
Prints are on VC fiberbase.
I work with Durst Laborator 1200 and Heiland Splitgrade Coldlight head for formats up to 4x5 inch and with Leitz Focomat V35 Autofocus and Heiland Splitgrade module for 35 mm.
Mounting
For best and safe presentation the prints are mounted on archival materials.
Finally the prints are brought to the wall in aluminium frames by Halbe.
And that I think fulfills all the conditions of a Fine Print.
Internet
To display the photographs in the internet, original prints have been scanned with Microtek flatbed scanner or negatives with Nikon film scanner SUPER COOLSCAN 8000 ED at highest resolution.
The pictures have been stored in jpeg format to keep download times as short as possible.
Although the scans have been carefully worked out for internet presentation,
they will never reach the quality of the original prints!
